Wachapreague began life, for the Colonials anyway, as a tiny place called Powelton in the mid to late 1800s. It was 'Village by the Sea' for the Natives way earlier then the 1800s.

Wachapreague is on the seaside of the Eastern Shore peninsula about 45 minutes north of our end of the Bay Bridge Tunnel complex.

This small, quiet sideside town has a town hall,
a fire department and a baseball field and no jail.

I like where I live... but my next choice, of all the places I have ever been, would be Wachapreague.
